Okay so this week I found myself taking an impromptu trip to Missouri, the “Show Me” state. The only thing I know about Missouri is the Arch and Mr. Country Grammar himself, Nelly.Other than that I had no clue. So when I got into town, I felt like I was starving (per usual) and when I got to the rental car place I asked one of the managers (who was hella fine by the way) where I could go to eat something healthy. He looked at me, laughed and said, “Ummmm well nothing really.” So that’s when I changed gears and realized that I was going to have to go with the flow. St. Louis and Kansas City are known for their barbecue.Although I didn’t venture to these places (I went to Cape Girardeau, MO home of Rush Limbaugh…lmao) I still feasted on the some good ole' barbecue, pastries, and other foods I normally stay away from. Normally I would panic but because it was only for a short amount of time I know I could get right back on track. Here are a few things I am doing to detox :
1) Drink lots of water – I will drink a gallon of water for the next seven days to flush out my system
2) Hit the gym – I am just going to go with my routine of swimming, walking, hitting the stair machine, and lifting weights
3) Eat Clean – This is the most important rule. Once you are back in your natural environment it is easy to control your diet which should consist of 6 meals a day, good carbs, and lean protein!!
If you eat and exercise regularly and consistently you will not gain weight if you cheat a little. It’s when you keep on eating naughty every other day that your body begans to hold on to the pounds. So, don't stress yourself and worry about falling off of the wagon if you ever get to that point, just hop back on and KEEP IT MOVIN', and with No Apologies people!!
